This policy explains what The Knife Vault collects when you browse knifevault.ca or place an order, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how to ask us to correct or delete it.
The short version: we collect only what is needed to run the store, answer questions, fulfill orders, and understand how the site is used. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors and are never stored by The Knife Vault.

02 What we collect
When you browse the site, we collect standard technical and analytics information such as pages viewed, approximate device and browser details, and shopping events through Google Analytics 4.
When you place an order or contact us, we collect the details needed to respond and fulfill the order — typically your name, email address, shipping address, and order contents.

Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal, depending on the checkout option you choose. Those providers process payment details under their own privacy policies. The Knife Vault receives confirmation details needed to record and fulfill your order, but we do not see or store your full card number.

We share personal information only with service providers that need it to operate the store, or when the law requires it.

06 Retention, rights, and choices
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and customer support. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain a support history.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing orders@knifevault.ca. You can also block analytics cookies through your browser or ad-blocking tools; the store still works without analytics.
07 Age and updates
The Knife Vault sells to adults aged 18 and over and does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
